Lower Columbia College’s art gallery, located in the Rose Center for the Arts, is currently showcasing the inspiring work of native Olympia, Washington artist and educator Steve Belz.
This exhibit features beautifully crafted sculptural pieces that delve into the themes of contemporary society, igniting connections among people and with the natural world.
This year, my children, friends, and I had a wonderful time at Rainier Revisited, a charming local reenactment that brings our town’s history in the 1850’s to life.
This reenactment, located at the Beaver Homes Grange, was put on April 20th, 2024, by the Rainier Junior/Senior High School History Club and has been an ongoing event for many years now, this being their 12th.
My children received their first library cards this year and have been steadily reading wonderful books throughout the spring and into the summer. They joined the local reading program and have been enjoying the weekly prize incentives for filling out their reading logs and returning those each week till the program was over in hopes of winning the grand prize!
Taking care of the environment and being mindful of our impact on the planet is crucial. The community of Scappoose, Oregon set a great example of this when hosting its annual Earth Day festival early this spring season.
On April 20th, the event took place at Heritage Park and is held yearly. This event is absolutely free for all, with no charges for entrance or parking. You could bring a lunch but it is not needed as they offered no-cost hotdogs, hamburgers, and pizza.
Welcome to my blog! I'm Erin, and I'm delighted to meet you!
Here I blog about all my incredible adventures doing many activities such as local events, amazing sights, plant care, gardening, cooking and baking, crafting, homesteading, the great outdoors, and home education. I am a prolific writer who is quite verbose.
I am always open to being hired for commissions, and put my all into giving a complete honest review of anything presented, be it locations or items.
I live at home with my three lovely children, Lydia, Owen and Melody. Each one is amazing and all enjoy many different hobbies, such as crafting, origami, and video editing.
