Exquisite Events: Rainier Revisited

This year, my children, friends, and I had a wonderful time at Rainier Revisited, a charming local reenactment that brings our town’s history in the 1850’s to life.

This reenactment, located at the Beaver Homes Grange, was put on April 20th, 2024, by the Rainier Junior/Senior High School History Club and has been an ongoing event for many years now, this being their 12th.

Summer Reading Grand Prize Winner!

My children received their first library cards this year and have been steadily reading wonderful books throughout the spring and into the summer. They joined the local reading program and have been enjoying the weekly prize incentives for filling out their reading logs and returning those each week till the program was over in hopes of winning the grand prize!

Exquisite Events: Scappoose Earth Day Festival!

Taking care of the environment and being mindful of our impact on the planet is crucial. The community of Scappoose, Oregon set a great example of this when hosting its annual Earth Day festival early this spring season.

On April 20th, the event took place at Heritage Park and is held yearly. This event is absolutely free for all, with no charges for entrance or parking. You could bring a lunch but it is not needed as they offered no-cost hotdogs, hamburgers, and pizza.
