The Bee Hive Crochet Kit from Hobby Lobby that my son picked out for me to make this month turned out nicely. Did you know that it recently was national Bee Day on Friday? I was finished with my shawl next week and welcomed a much smaller project such as this one before casting on anything else that would take a while.

This week I have finished yet another wearable accessory and this time it’s knit instead of crochet like last week. The Touchstone Shawl by Laura Aylor has been on my needles since early March but with many other projects, it was on the back burner only getting worked on a little at a time. I’m so happy it’s done so I can wear it now before any blazing hot temperatures make way to Oregon. The weather has truly been something as of lately.

This year I wanted to start a new tradition in making each of my kids a Christmas tree ornament. This year I decided to go with something silly and fun. I chose to make the Red Heart Jolly Pickle Ornament which can be found on the Yarnspiration website.
I used various scrap yarns in my stash ( mainly all Red Heart yarn). The eyes I used can be found on Amazon. If you are interested in making some of your own! For the pickle on the far right, I used these eyes & for the others, I used these. Any stuffing will do for the inside.

Life surely gets busy but I’ve found some time to still squeeze some knitting in.
I’ve been attempting to use up my stash before purchasing more yarn and so that’s been tricky because I’ve got a lot of single skeins!
