Plus Motif Tablet Case Covers by Papier de Maison {Review}

2013-04-03

I’ve been a tablet owner for a little over two months now. My Nexus Tablet used quite a bit for my blog writing, reading books, taking notes, responding to emails, watching movies, playing games, and more. It’s pretty much an extension of myself in our digital age. And I knew with my budding love of my tablet being constantly used, I needed a case for it. But not just any case, I wanted a case that is currently functional in many different ways as well as appealing to the eye. A girl has has to have her accessories!  Continue reading

Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset {Guest Review}

corsair

Guest Review by: Justin Lowmaster

I thought I had some good headphones, then I got a pair of Corsair wireless ones. I loaded up Star Trek Online, and I heard noises I had never heard before in the game!

My first experience with the wireless was a little spotty, I got interference quite frequently, and all audio stopped for a few seconds now and then. I had the dongle on the front of my computer. I used the included extension cord and plugged it in the back of my computer and put the dongle near my monitor and I now have only infrequent interference. A lot less then I had issue with the cord on my previous set of headphones. The range is plenty good.

They are very comfortable, and fit fully over my ears, rest of my head, and dampen external sounds. They don’t get uncomfortable with extended use normally, and if they do, I just reseat them and all is well again.

Charging the headset is easy, just plug in the USB cord. You can wear them and use them while plugged in if you have to. There are helpful blinking lights so you know when it is charging, or charged, or needs charged,

There is a large button on the side to turn them off and on by holding it down for a few seconds. There is also a spinning volume control accessibly located on the left earpiece under the power button. The mic tilts up and down nicely. It’s stiff, not bendy, which I like. Might break off, however, if struck or bent abnormally. I didn’t test that out, obviously.

The drivers rotate sideways which makes it a lot easier to store the headphones, even if just setting them down on a flat surface (or the precarious paper pile that is my desk).

The sound quality is fantastic. From the bass to the treble, I can hear the rich soundscapes of games, to the many ranges in music.

Verso Artist Series Cover for Kindle Fire, Say Yes {Review}

SayYes_E_Banner

I had been looking for a cover for awhile now, previously just storing my Kindle Keyboard in zip up slip case. Slipcases are great for storage when your Kindle is not in use. But that type of product isn’t as easy to carry a long when out say at a coffee shop or on an airplane or if you need to step away for a moment to answer a phone call or greet someone at the door. Moments in life happen when we need to assert our full attention and I don’t know about you but I don’t often have the time (especially with a 2 and 4 year old) to slip my Kindle into a case right away and I don’t exactly want to put it on a table top where it could easily get bumped off and fall to it’s demise. I needed a cover that was easy to set aside yet with durability for my day to day use and I found that in the Verso Artist Series, Say Yes Cover for Kindle Fire and Kindle Keyboard.

Stylish, Useful, Easily functional, and completely built to last! This cover is universal and can fit multiple size e-reader and tablets! I currently have a Kindle Keyboard and found it to fit perfectly into the corner elastic tabs on the inner cover. There’s an inner pocket that you can store your receipts, travel documents, id, or a debit card into. The inner pocket is a nice feature say if you just want to go out for coffee and don’t want to haul around an entire purse. You can also slip your hand into the pocket and bend that part of the cover back if you prefer to hold your device that way.

The design on the cover itself is very eye catching! It’s very modern and totally chic! If you are looking for a very high quality cover that fits your personality, this cover or another in the Verso Artist Series just might be for you. I’m very happy with the Say Yes Cover. The only feature that perhaps could make the cover better is a band to keep it a little more secure or a closure but am not too bummed out about it. I’ve had no fear of my Kindle falling out of the cover at all though if you are slipping your device into a backpack or purse, I’d be careful as something else could wedge between potentially harm your Kindle as with most any cover!

Hello Kitty™ AM/FM Stereo Alarm Clock Radio w Top Loading CD Player {review}

My daughter is getting older and I believe it’s important to start teaching her to be aware of clocks and time keeping. I know she’s only three years old right now and it would be expecting to much to believe she could read a regular clock. But lately I’ve been telling her and showing her what time her favorite cartoons come on and she’s been understanding the concept of before and after a lot better.

Just recently, my daughter received her very own Hello Kitty™ AM/FM Stereo Alarm Clock Radio  w Top Loading CD Player from www.sparklebee.com and boy does she love it! I’m loving it a lot too because it’s helping me as a work at home mother teach my daughter the concept of waiting.  Teaching waiting to a preschooler can be a challenge at times. You can ask any parent and they’ll tell you usually patience can be very hard for younger children to grasp but I can vouch giving your child a time piece whether watch or clock helps tremendously.

Speaking of time and learning, back to school is right around the corner here in Oregon. And instead of attending a public preschool, I plan on teaching my daughter at home. She’ll be jumping straight into preschool starting in September which is only a couple of weeks away. I’m working on a schedule which will include book work, snack time, P.E, and arts and crafts.The Hello Kitty™ AM/FM Stereo Alarm Clock Radio  w Top Loading CD Player  is fantastic and there’s not one thing about it that I don’t like. It’s pink in color making it perfect for a little girls room but for my son not so much! It has where you can set two clock alarms which is great as I’m going to set one up for when my daughter should be up and allowed to leave her room in the morning and the other for when school is done for the day.

It’s got great sound quality and I like that my daughter can listen to all her favorite music cd’s as well those I’ve burned on the computer meaning it’s CD-R/RW Compatible! You can skip, search forward and back as well as repeat and random play as well. Other features include your AM/FM Radio, LED Display with Dimmer, Sleep or snooze Function and available Battery Back-up!I would highly recommend this product especially if the princess in your life loves all things Sanrio and Hello Kitty. For what it is, I think it’s a great deal for  $69.99 at Sanrio.com and I’m sure it will be listed on Amazon.com pretty soon too for all those Amazon loves like myself.
