“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” Toys, Blankets and Pajamas!

I have a special fondness for Eric Carle. I know I’m not alone in this sentiment, as the author has delighted many readers with his collection of stories for over fifty years. His tales for children and families are full of wonder and whimsy for the eyes, mind, and heart.

To Beatrice…

Five years ago on this very day, I received the news you passed away.

Anticipations of what could be had shattered my perfect hopes in you that mattered

Your little feet and hands that pushed and sway encompassed in my mind’s array. A stillness now your movement gone though you are there with each dawn.

Your laugh, your smile I’ll never know. I miss the fact though love still grows.

I feel you in all I do part of me through and through. I honor you on not just today but with each breath in me that still remains.
