The apple trees on the farm have been overflowing with delicious apples this Autumn season, and my family has been hard at work preserving them for future snacking.
We decided to dehydrate the apples, and the result has been a wonderful, healthy snack that we enjoy at home and when bringing along on our field trips and adventures.

I love working with the Red Heart All-in-One Granny Square yarn.
The yarn was shipped well from Amazon, with minimal packaging and no strange odors.
Each 250-gram skein contains 417 yards, and with the three-pack providing a total of 1251 yards, there’s enough yarn to create the vest pattern on the label. Note for the vest project that a contrasting color is needed for seaming and other parts, depending on the garment size.

Gardening isn’t over yet, as there’s still plenty of opportunity to grow and manage plants. This is all thanks to the lingering warmth in the soil and the extended window provided by fluctuating temperatures.
During the Autumn season, it is essential for gardeners to take advantage of this crucial time to rest and carry out necessary clean-up before winter arrives. This includes tasks such as pruning, trimming, weeding, and separating plants. Equally important are smaller tasks like dead-heading.
