Spring Gardening Update!
Spring gardening is flourishing beautifully! Just yesterday, we joyously harvested a vibrant batch of radishes. The herbs, flowers, and vegetables are thriving, promising to bring delight now and into late Summer through Fall.

The area that the kids and I have cultivated is transforming. Despite some setbacks with sickness and busy schedules filled with outings, health visits, errands, school, and activities, we found precious moments to nurture this space into something to be proud of.
We’ve embraced many new additions, particularly perennial flowers and herbs, along with vegetables that will bring joy for several cycles. We’ll gather and store seeds for future growth, cultivating a sustainable practice.
Supporting our local gardening clubs and markets has been invaluable, as they’ve shared a wealth of knowledge and provided budget-friendly plant offerings. Those twenty-cent to a few-dollar starts are a true gift in launching our garden! I enjoy checking out their events and find it great to learn about new plants, especially those that are native to our area!
Our vegetable beds are thriving with lettuce, snap peas, a variety of peppers, squash, onions, and cucumbers. In the herb garden, we have a rich assortment: basil, oregano, sage, marjoram, parsley, chives, thyme, yarrow, numerous mints for tea, dill, lavender, cilantro, rosemary, chamomile, and more.

Our flower garden is blooming and soon will bloom with Poor Man’s Orchid, a variety of sunflowers, Penstemon, pansies, dianthus, coneflowers, button flowers, forget-me-nots, nasturtiums, and countless other beauties! I’m so excited to share the progress!
If you are gardening, please do share how this Spring growing season is going with you, I’d love to know!
