Celebrating of 9!

Can you believe how fast time flies? Miss Lydia just turned nine, and she’s growing into such a wonderful young lady. We celebrated her birthday over several days packed with fun activities and exciting events. She was completely showered with kindness and generosity by her friends and family.

She kicked off her birthday by popping into our favorite local coffee shop! She ordered a surprise specialty drink that had mango, which she absolutely loves, along with some other healthy delicious fruits.

She had a lovely time at our favorite local farmers markets special spring opening! Lydia was treated to brisket and mac and cheese from her go-to food truck for lunch. While we were there, she got to see some familiar faces and joined in at the kids’ booth, where she had a fun learning how to make fresh butter with a fun hands-on activity! Another favorite vendor had an activity she enjoyed also in making a nature-themed project out of clay that would go through a kiln and be painted!

At our high school music fundraiser, which had a fun Cinco de Mayo theme, she had an amazing time celebrating with her friends! She had fun dressing up and playing games. It was such a wonderful surprise to her when everyone joined in to sing “Happy Birthday” and gave her a fun gift! She was thrilled and loved every moment, especially indulging in all the tasty Mexican foods and desserts.

She told me her birthday was amazing, although she missed celebrating all the events with her brother as he is still under the weather.
