Our Little Happy Space

With the pleasant spring days we’ve been having, the kids and I have been working to transform this area into something new. We’ve planted herbs and flowers, with more to come. There’s still a lot of clearing to do, but we are happy with how it’s turning out.
Melody loves creating and crafting with natural materials. The logs and stumps she has acquired will soon become homes for succulents, moss, and more! Her interests lean toward many things, with agriculture and botany a surefire interest.
The push mower that was passed on to my friends years ago is once again in our hands and has been put to good use by the teenagers.
Lydia loves all the flowers we’ve been putting out for pollinators and is happy to help build borders using sticks and stones in the garden.
The teens assembled this picnic bench by themselves while I was still recovering from pneumonia. It has made crafting and school time an enjoyable outdoor experience during our days.
I’m excited to share updates on this area and our vegetable beds as the season progresses this year!
