Exciting Sights: Alison Lutz showing of Attendant Loss at The Forsberg Gallery

Attendant Loss by Alison Lutz is the latest exhibit featured at the Fosberg Gallery. Inspired by the shared experiences of loss during the Covid-19 pandemic, the exhibit explores themes of grief, hope, and healing through imagery of flowers in various stages: wilt, bloom, and decay.

My oldest daughter and myself, enjoyed learning about the story and inspiration behind the artwork. The artist would take daily walks during the isolation of the pandemic quarantine, photographing flowers that she later transformed into her desired art form. The colors are vibrant, and the monotype images captured my interest and provoked deep thought as I examined each piece.

Grief, loss, renewal, strength, healing, and growth are all present in various aspects of life. As a nature lover, I appreciate how Alison portrays these emotions through flowers and colors in her visual diary. It serves as a thought-provoking journey for anyone who experiences it.

If you would like to visit the exhibit, it will be running from April 7 to May 22, 2025.
