Fall Feature: Dramm Stainless Steel Compact Shears
The air is getting cooler, leaves are crunching underfoot, and the colors are changing – Fall is definitely here. Gardening isn’t over yet, as there’s still plenty of opportunity to grow and manage plants. This is all thanks to the lingering warmth in the soil and the extended window provided by fluctuating temperatures.
During the Autumn season, it is essential for gardeners to take advantage of this crucial time to rest and carry out necessary clean-up before winter arrives. This includes tasks such as pruning, trimming, weeding, and separating plants. Equally important are smaller tasks like dead-heading.
Chrysanthemums are among my favorite autumn flowers, and they were also my late Grandma’s favorite. I make it a point to keep these flowers around in honor of her. Consistent dead-heading is crucial to maintain their beauty and promote abundant growth from now until the frost. If cared for properly, these often known as annuals, though are perennials, can come back every year. I had a few last over 10 years with proper pruning and care.
My trusty tool for keeping Chrysanthemums and other plants growing abundantly are the Dramm Stainless Steel Compact Shears. These shears are perfect for removing spent blooms encouraging healthy new growth for flowers, herbs, bonsai trees, vegetables, and much more.
I like the size of the sheers. They fit well into my hand with their ergonomic design. The sheers feature a slip-proof grip so whether or not I am wearing gloves or leaving myself barehanded, there is no fear of mis-snipping, and my cuts are perfectly precise.
These shears feature a convenient locking button for easy and secure use. The sharp blades come with a protective sheath for safety. With consistent indoor and outdoor use, they have shown no signs of rust or dulling.
I like that these are quite eye-catching, coming in a wide array of cheerful vibrant colors. The sheers I am mentioning here are a beautiful berry color that matches the Dramm Watering Can I spotlighted on my blog previously.
I am very satisfied with these shears. They are well constructed, lightweight, and have a sharp blade, making them perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
Cost: Prices may vary depending on location and color as I currently see anywhere from $15-30 online.
Overall, I’m delighted with the products I’ve had the chance to experience and review for Dramm. I wholeheartedly support this exceptional company and will continue to endorse its outstanding products.
