CSB Explorer Bible for Kids {Review + Giveaway}
The is an exciting and engaging offering to help children ages 6-12 years old connect meaningfully with God through the aid of history and culture.
I like the hardcover Bible lays flat. There is a bookmark to keep your place. The pages aren’t super thin and can take much turning from children without ripping/tearing. You can use a highlighter just fine and your standard ink without bleeding through.
The main features interesting to my own kids are the excavation of the past and the exploration of modern days objects and things connecting to God and the Bible. Aside from those two features mentioned, you’ll find truths and how we can apply them, character field guides, timelines to survey key time periods and events in Biblical History, a list of memory scripture verses, a dictionary, and QR codes throughout ( these lead to videos, questions, discussions, and printable activity sheets found on the internet).
I didn’t find the Bible overly busy. It is engaging with full-color photos and illustrations, highlighted key memory verses, red letter words of Jesus, and so forth. Instead of being intimidated, I felt that my kids had a greater interest and curiosity due to the way this Bible is presented.
This Bible would be a great choice for at home, church, or in a Christian school setting. Note there is a church curriculum available that corresponds with it.
