Celebrate the Christmas Season with Pureflix! {Movie Spotlight + Giveaway}

The nights are now much colder and the days are getting shorter. Thanksgiving has come and gone. The Christmas season has officially begun.

During this time of busyness, I try to slow down and reflect on the reason for the season. I feel it is important to not lose sight of the Who and Why amongst all the stressing over gifts, get-togethers and everything else we busy ourselves with.

One way to slow down is to take in entertainment that is safe for the whole family which points us to the Saviour. I can recommend Pure Flix entertainment which offers quality faith and family entertainment every week. I plan on watching something with my family each week leading up to Christmas.

Recently, my husband, teen daughter, and I enjoyed watching a Christmas-time film found on Pureflix called Thursday Night Club. This movie is about five friends who open their selves up to God’s calling following an unexpected tragedy.

The movie I felt was done well. It spotlights seeking God, living selflessly, and showing kindness to others, despite being scared and uncertain of the outcomes. I liked that nothing felt forced and that the issues the characters faced were 100% relatable. Though the film deals with hard issues like grief, tension, and stress, it still manages to have some humor and lightheartedness to it.

The themes of kindness, paying it forward, donating time, and getting involved with charity were good to see. I feel the film presents great discussion points to talk about with your family, church, friends, or other group settings.

The film’s runtime is roughly an hour and twenty minutes.
