My husband and I were given the opportunity to see The Homeschool Awakening early and feel it is well presented. We truly recommend seeing it if you are thinking about homeschooling as it sheds the light on so much when it comes to making that jump.

I feel it is a must share if you are wanting to show what it is that you already doing homeschooling-wise. It will likely answer many of the questions and concerns that others may have about your family’s decision.

The film runtime is 100 minutes. Throughout we see the lives and styles of a few different families and their personal journies with homeschooling. There are large families with lots of kids and small families with just one. We see those with very different lifestyles from living and working/learning from homes, RVs, and apartments.

I liked they showcase the opportunities these families have to grow together. There are many experiences in learning and growing shown that likely would not happen in a public school setting.

Questions answered include things like the how, when, and why. What about college? What about socialization? Do I need a school room? No two homeschool families are alike in their style of making it happen, curriculum choices, or lifestyles.

I loved the beauty and truth portrayed in this documentary in all the benefits you truly do gain from making the choice of homeschooling.
