Tyson’s Run in Theaters 3/11 and $20 Amazon GC Giveaway!
Over the weekend, my family was generously given the opportunity to see a movie called Tyson’s Run that will hit theaters nationwide on March 11, 2022.
The premises of this film is about an autistic teenage boy that doesn’t let how the world sees and views him hinder him from doing great things. While not just following Tyson’s personal endeavors, there are other storylines to follow with specific key characters that together complete a well-rounded engaging story.
My kids are ages 13.5, 11, and 5 1/2 years old. While there were some intense moments I didn’t feel there was anything overtly not friendly to families in this film. I do feel like it is great for adults, tweens, and teens to take in while with younger children I would say to see it yourself first and decide.
We enjoyed this film immensely. The story is well told. It is filled with drama, foreshadowing, humor, and many unexpected twist and turns. I felt like nothing was out of place or entirely over the top in the least bit. The actors did a great job and I enjoyed the music (Four-time Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Yolanda Adams recorded If You Believe, an original song, just for Tyson’s Run!).
Overall, I feel there are many topics covered that could prompt deep topical conversations which I feel is always a good jumping board when consuming any film and other forms of entertainment.
Oh, and my kids wanted me to point out that if you see this in the theaters make sure you don’t leave until after the end of the credits! Overall, I certainly recommend seeing this movie with your family, friends, and/or church group!
