Renovating Your Mind: 365 Devotions for Everyday Life {Book Review}
Renovating Your Mind by Patrick Egle is a refreshing devotional that challenges and invokes questions that are likely to further the personal and spiritual growth of a believer no matter where in their walk they might be.
There are 365 Deovtionals. It starts from January 1st and goes through to December 31st. The devotionals are not predated with a year so you can pick it up at any time whether that be right now or the start of the 2022 year.
There are no chapters or an index just a forward and endnotes ( references are listed). Each devotional starts with no title but just a date, inspired Bible verse, and the reading so you won’t have any idea of what it is about till you read it. Note there aren’t questions at all at the end like some devotional books but the reading certainly does prompt them.
The readings aren’t difficult to comprehend. There are quotes and much scripture but not without down-to-earth relatable conversations that all point to the God of Heaven,
The devotions take roughly five minutes to read and are good for either the very new believer or even a well-seasoned one. I feel these are great for solo but also group or family reading together.
I’ve only read through a few of the devotionals and I’m completely invested in reading the rest of this book. I found myself saying yes me too or I also did exactly that and felt the same way. I feel encouraged, challenged to grow, and refreshed from just the few I have read.
I highly recommend giving this book a checkout!
