Moments With Jesus Children’s Bible {Review}
The Moments With Jesus Children’s Bible by Bill Johnson and Eugene Luning and Illustrated by Kristen & Kevin Howdeshell is beautiful and quite immersive. It brings encounters with Jesus alive in a way I’ve not witnessed before both visually and in word for children.
The book features 20 chapters. Each with beautiful illustrations, a story telling point of view, and a “Let’s Talk About That Section”. I like the reflection section as it gives sometimes an activity to do and offers questions to ponder that perhaps had not been thought about before.
I like how the book is presented. It caters quite well to children and doesn’t shy away from being descriptive and painting word images not just visually with the illustrations though those are great too!
The hardcover version I have is very nice. The pages are not glossy but more a matte style. The illustrations really stand out and remind me of paintings without too many busy details.
This offering does an excellent job is sharing God’s Love, Care, and Ever Presentness in the life of those that follow him. We read it in the evenings at home as a devotional but it would be a great for a Sunday School class too.
Highly recommended.
