Emily Lex Watercolor Package and Classes!

I’ve been wanting to take up Water Color art for a while now but just hadn’t jumped in until recently when I was offered an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.

This opportunity included a generous offering in the form of online lessons, an animal and flower workbook, brass stand for scripture cards, and two sets of motivational scriptural Truth Cards ( on for kids and adults) by Emily Lex! The entire package was carefully and beautifully put together, truly a treat to recieve. I got to work right away watching and going along with her lessons having never put paint brush to paper before. She was very easy to understand and follow along with. I never once felt intimedated or fustrated. I watched through both the main lessons and the the ones with kids ( which I plan to go through with my kids this Summer!).

I like the basics of this art form was explained and that there were a few projects to follow along through and complete with the online lessons. I’m a very visual learner and preferred going through the video lessons before getting more comfortable with the workbooks.

The Truth Cards feature lovely art by the artist and a Bible verse. The brass holder is strong and durable and happily resides on my desktop with whatever card I choose to keep for the day or even the whole week. These are lovely little reminders to look to God daily and can be used for scriptural memorization for myself and with my children.

The workbooks are perfect for those times where I want to be screen-free and keep my focus purely on my art and nothing else. These feature pages that you can work through without needing to get paper or a watercolor pad out of your own. There are step-by-step instructions on the colors you should use to complete each piece of art.

Overall, I am very pleased with the lessons, the fun extras and the workbooks from Emily. I no longer feel intimidated by learning this art and experimenting to find my own style. I highly recommend checking her out whether for yourself, your children, or both!
