Christmas Under the Stars’ featuring Lauren Daigle + A Album Giveaway

Christmas looks a little different for us this year with restrictions, freezes and lockdowns but that doesn’t mean the celebration has to stop. That said, my family is getting into the season slowly with the cheerfulness of music and songs that we often sing together every Christmas season.

This week we got an oppurtunity to listen and watch the special concert Christmas Under the Stars featuring Lauren Daigle one of our favorite Christian recording artist. The concert features both classic carols, traditional Christmas favorites and a few well know songs from Lauren such as Rescue and You Say. The concert keeps things fresh and interesting while the artist preforms both on a stage and in a studio type setting.

Between some songs they cut to personal stories and experiences from Lauren reliving around family holiday traditions, inspirations that brought her Christmas album together and how Christ and other should be our focus during this time of year.

I feel the balance of the songs chosen are perfect. There are upbeat songs, mellow songs, and those that would fall in-between. I love her jazzy renditions on some of the songs in homage to her Louisiana roots too. A few of I enjoyed ( though I really like them all) hearing was Oh Holy Night, Light of the World, and You Say.

This Christmas Concert was a joyful watch overall. I will probably play it again when wrapping gifts, cooking meals this December and desserts/cookies for our family, and as background during celebrations and games during this season, The runtime is 55 minutes long.
