As the giving season is upon us I’m eager to share about the Advancing Native Missions 2020 Gift Catalog. This ministry assists missionaries with the help of others like you and I in meeting needs of others, spreading hope and changing lives in the name of Jesus.
The gift catalog features 20 ways you can give and stories in how the gifts you can give impact and transform lives. The communities that this ministry main goal in reaching is aimed in the remote places where the gospel message isn’t known.
A few of the gifts you can find and give through this catalog are newborn care packages, a pair of shoes, school supply packs, a Bible, Covid Relief Packages, Sewing Machine, Persecution Aid Packages, Transportation for Church Planters and Pastors and much more.
The stories shared shed the light lightly on just how challenging peoples living situations are and also how difficult it can be to follow Jesus in cultures that follow other religions. I feel it was very impactful for myself and my children to learn about how things are and what we as a family can do our part in furthering the kingdom through giving back,
A kids coloring book based on a true story is found within the center of the catalog. This story is about not being afraid and it sheds light on how important missionaries work can be in spreading the love of God.
I appreciate that the coloring book was included so I could share on a level that my 4 year old would understand about missions and how just one small act can lead to even bigger things for God that we can’t even imagine at the time.
In spreading the news about this ministry we were given the oppurtunity this season to bless a family through a gift given in our name through ANM. We chose the Animals Gift Package which consist of 2 goats and 12 chickens.
This gift package my family was able to gift gives an economical supply of milk to drink and meat and eggs to eat to a family in need. In having chickens of our own in the past we know the importance of a flock and also know what a joy it is to have these animals around. My kids were incredibly happy that we were able to give in this way!
