I have a few great resources to share with you today that revolves around Christian Faith and visual entertainment. The following three christian themed series we’ve started our Summer school mornings with the last three months. While all three of my children ages 12, 9, and 4 have watched these, note that there’s suspense and some potentially scary happenings that may not be suitable for the youngest of children.
Currently there are 17 different titles each roughly being half an hour each to watch. These are based on the popular radio show! I used to enjoy these stories as a young child myself. Though a little dated the adventures and take away still applies for kids today.
Each episode is 27 minutes long.
Superbook teaches children timeless moral truths and life lessons through the captivating, Bible-based adventures of two time-traveling children and their robot friend.
The familiar and the futuristic interact with ancient people, places and events to create a sense of wonder, anticipation, empowerment, and personal breakthrough as the children witness God’s interaction with man. Superbook is always an exciting journey, full of discovery – with a transformational outcome.
There are currently three seasons included with Prime Video. Each episode is 27 minutes long.
The Torchlighters is a series of animated programs with strong values and educational content for youth ages 8-12. Each 30-minute episode presents the story of a true-life hero from Christian history. Kids will be challenged to shine the light of Jesus while learning about the history of our faith.
Each episode is 30-40 minutes in length.
The great thing is that if you to have Amazon Prime, each series is included i.e you don’t have to purchase episodes or films separately. I hope if you do chose to watch any of these you’d leave a comment below and let me know. If there are any others you feel are in the same theme and you like, please share!
