Operation Blessing presents Recipes From Around The World Cookbook

Operation Blessing is a nonprofit humanitarian organization that shares the love of God through alleviating human need and suffering in the United States and in over 90 nations around the world.

They with the generous help of others make it possible to bring medical care, nourishing food, clean water, disaster relief and more to those desperately in need. They see to immediate needs and also work toward long-term solutions for developing communities.

I’m excited to share about Recipes From Around The World Cookbook that contains culinary delights from their humanitarian outreaches across the globe!

In this cookbook there are a number of recipes from 10 countries. The countries included are; Asia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Israel, Kenya, Mexico, Peru and the United States. Each of the countries sections features a family and their story in how Operation Blessing provided help and relief to their specific situation.

The recipes range from main courses, dips, desserts, drinks, and so forth that are popular in that country. I like the recipes all featured photos, a short informational historical/cultural blurb, easy to find ingredient, and not difficult preparation instructions.

My family has enjoyed this cookbook. It has encouraged us to try new foods as well as appreciate cultural differences. It has also served as a discussion point with my children about the needs of others around the world (even in our own country of USA) and how we can help too.
