Night Night Devotions {Book Review & Giveaway}
Night Night Devotions by Amy Parker illustrated by Virginia Allyn, is the perfect before bed devotional book for children ages 3-7 years old.
There are 90 devotionals within the pages which will last one about three months time to get through if read every evening. The devotions are inspired and taken from Bible stories and scripture starting with the Old Testament and ending in the New Testament.
Each devotion has a title, Bible verse, short reading, prayer, and a question that corresponds with what was read. I found the readings to be spot on for the age group intended.
Nothing is wordy in this offering or over my 3 and 1/2 year old daughter’s head. The prayers and questions are easy to understand and encourage reading of the Bible, praying to God and questioning as well as applying what was learned.
There are delightful illustrations on each page that go with the reading that are appealing to look at. Some of the images are of Bible story characters while other pictures are of children or animals.
Overall, I am a fan of this devotional offering. It has been a great for teaching my little one who God is and who she is in Him! I like the simple layout, the easy readings, and that prayer, scripture and application is included. Recommended!
