God, I Know You’re There {Review and Giveaway}
I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
God, I Know Your’re There is a beautiful book by author Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrator Lucy Fleming. The book ever so lightly presents itself giving children words to hear and take to heart accompanied by visuals to delight the eyes in the wonders of the creation of God.
We can’t see Him yet we know he is there. The book demonstrates God in many ways including mention he is like the wind which we can’t visually see but we feel and see the effects of it. The book continues on relating God and his presence with us like many things found in to nature such as the sun, sky, clouds, moon, stars, and much more.
The illustrations are awe-inspiring and every so enjoyable to gaze upon. The colors are rich, the emotions on the characters faces capture sheer joy and wonder exceptionally well. Each illustration spans two pages so there’s a lot to take in. There scenes in the day and night. Animal friends accompany the boys and girls throughout.
The book is written in a rhyming poetic way. The words flow well making this a great read along to children both young and old.
Understanding God’s presence can be difficult to explain and demonstrate to a child but I feel this book does an exceptional job using nature as a spring point. My children and I both have enjoyed this book and highly recommend picking up a copy.
