Ten Little Night Stars {Children’s Book Review}

Ten Little Night Stars is a sweet bedtime book perfect for boys and girls.  It helps little ones learning to count to ten and establishing a daily bedtime routine with adorable animals as the examples.

The cover is soft and cushion-like style while the pages are a classic board book thickness being quite durable for reading after reading. The stars and text on the front cover shimmer in the light like diamonds.

The illustrations are delightful! The details are spot on and the colors rich and welcoming. My little one adores pointing out things and asking me what they are on each page like specific toys found in each room for example. Animals that are included are Elephants, bears, lions, pandas, monkeys, hippos, and raccoons.

Throughout this book, little ones will lend a listening ear to the written in rhyme story. The bedtime routine in this book goes as such; a bath, brushing teeth, putting on jammies, picking out a special toy to sleep with, choosing a book to be read, saying a prayer and a kiss goodnight.

Ten Little Night Stars by Deb Gruelle, great-great-grand-niece of Johnny Gruelle, the creator of Raggedy Ann and Andy has become a welcome addition to our home. Our 21-month-old daughter adores this book. She is learning to count to ten and thrives with a routine so this book has been perfect not just for us but for her too.

I feel best suited for infant through preschool ages.
