Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Festival Yarn and Tool Finds

A few weeks ago, my family and I visited the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. It was celebrating its 22nd year this Autumn. We’ve visited every year for the last six! It’s always fun to see all the animals, crafts, and happy people when we go.

I always do a bit of saving throughout the year so I can get a few fun items such as yarn or accessories. Fancy yarns cost more but the quality is so much better and it makes me happy knowing I am supporting local. This year, I purchased a four-ounce Hazel Fingering Merino yarn from Mosaic Moon in the gemstone “Ruby” colorway,  a part merino/baby alpaca/ silk  DK weight skein from Upstream DK in the Pumpkin Pie Shade and a beautiful yarn bowl from MKwares.

I plan on knitting hats for myself out of the two skeins of yarn. I’ve had my eye on a few patterns on Ravelry that I feel these would work well for. The first is the Twiggy by YYC Knits & the second one the Kastanjat myssy. I’m only dead set on one of those in the pumpkin pie color but I may change my mind for what I go with for the ruby. Sometimes a project screams pick me. So time will tell in what I actually knit up.

Do you knit, crochet, or loom? If so, share what’s projects you are working on currently!
