Coloring Christmas Devotions {Review}

The holiday season is right around the corner, are you ready? I feel it’s important to not get lost in the hustle and bustle and to reflect on the true reason why as a Christian I celebrate this holiday. One of my favorite ways to reflect is through creating whether that be cooking, craft, drawing, or coloring!

Coloring Christmas Devotions is a lovely book intended to be enjoyed throughout the month of December. Its small size makes it easy to store in a desk drawer or into a medium size to a large purse or tote bag. It’s certainly a wherever you go and whenever you can book as there are no dates on the pages. You can flip through the book and stop at a devotional title that catches you or at a picture you’d like to color.

It has 31 devotions and many different pictures to color that mostly correspond with the devotional text. Each devotional has a title, scripture verse, writing,  and prayer. There are many religious-themed pictures but also there are gift boxes, nutcrackers, gingerbread, Christmas tree, and other holiday-themed pictures to color some being more detailed than others.

The pages of the book are well-made. I would suggest coloring with colored pencils, gel pens, or crayons. A Sharpie or other felt type pen will no doubt bleed through so I don’t suggest using those with this book.
I really like the nature-themed illustrations. The birds, penguins, deer, wolves,  and polar bears are lovely.  I found this devotional an easy read and could relate and apply the biblical truths to my life.

This devotion book would make the perfect gift this holiday season at its reasonable pricing! Just make sure to gift it before Christmas day so one can enjoy it all month long.   I recommend it to teens to adults as the more intricate images would be too much for a younger child to color.
