Travel Brix from EDUSHAPE {review}

To my six-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter’s delight, I presented to them Travel Brix a few weeks ago. Note there are small pieces so these are not recommended for children ages three and under. This set great for at home and as packaged on the go. You can take these in the car, on a plane, and for any and all short or long times away from home.

The set has 32-pieces.  Pieces come in colors of yellow, blue, green, pink and orange. There’s a 6”x8”  bristled travel board which can be built upon. There’s a little sheet with design ideas included too.  This set helps kids with their fine motor skills, logic & reasoning, hand-eye coordination, creativity,  and socialization.  The box you could save to keep everything in but I felt it best for travel and space to put all the pieces in a plastic zip bag.

My daughter told me that she likes this set a lot. She built all sorts of neat things like a windmill, check mark, a bug, butterfly, and many more things.  She never once became frustrated by blocks not attaching together well or when detaching so she could change them around.  We did find that if what was built was too top heavy that it might not stay in place if trying to move the building board around but we are talking creations more than 8 inches high.

I like that the material the brix are made out of is soft and has no sharp corners.  It’s also great that these can be easily washed. I can’t see these wearing out or coming apart. I like that this set is made well and that there are just enough blocks to make all sorts of neat things. My family definitely recommend these!
