The Beginner’s Bible Carry-Along Treasury {book review}

The Beginner’s Bible® has been a favorite with young children and their parents since its release in 1989 with over 25 million products sold. I’ve mentioned books in this series numerous times on my blog and other social media platforms. I really do enjoy the retellings of Bible stories in a simplified format to share with my children.  Thanks to Zonderkidz, I am introducing yet another wonderful offering to my children and to my friends and readers here on my blog.

Recently released last month is The Beginner’s Bible® Carry-Along Treasury. This title features a hard cover with a magnetic closure and a red plastic handle for carrying-a-long purposes.  I must say this offering is completely darling! I remember being a child and wanting to be just like the adults I saw at church carrying their Bibles in cases and so forth. Even though this book isn’t an entire Bible, it features many stories from both the Old and New Testament and a child will likely love bringing it along to church, various outings, and even just around the house.

There is 30 stories total with each being about 4-5 pages in length.The front page has a   place to write your child’s name and says “Will you please read to me? Thank you.” Following is the table of contents. Stories are listed in order from Old to New.

The illustrations are always above the text which sits at the bottom of the page. Each story has a title followed by where you can find it in the Bible. I always love the fact when scripture in full or reference is included in Bible-themed books for children.  Words are easy enough for most beginner readers and also good for children that aren’t reading yet. Since this isn’t in a board book format I think it’s best suited for 3-6-year-olds.
