Since the weather has turned from rainy skies to bright blue skyed sun filled days, I’ve had my eye out for toys that can be used not just indoors but outdoors as well. I’ve particularly been looking for toys for my youngest child that just hit her first birthday almost a month ago. She’s an early walker and has been enjoying toddling all over so toys that can help her dexterity in many ways are fantastic at this point. She’s specifically been having an absolutely good time playing with the Glow in the Dark Sensory Ball from the company Edushape.
The Glow in the Dark Sensory Ball is 7″ in diameter. You can see from my included photos that it’s just the right size for her now and it’ll be good for her as she gets bigger as well. This ball is pretty fun for her. It features a nubby texture that is interesting to touch. It can be rolled, kicked, carried, and thrown providing for a lot of different play activities and exercises. She can play with this ball alone or with someone else making it good for group or solo learning.
The glow from this ball is pretty bright if left in a bright area for several hours. I put this ball in the sun outdoors and then the minute we brought it back inside we could see the impressive bright green/blue glow emitting from its surface which lasted for quite some time. The night or day feature make this toy a great all around ball. I’ll likely be bringing it along for my daughter when we go camping later this Summer season.
This ball is the perfect pick for both boys and girls. I think every household, school, and daycare should have one. I’m very pleased and seeing how happy my daughter is when playing and tuning her fine motor skills and senses of sight and touch with it makes it well worth keeping around.
