All Things Bright and Beautiful: Make Believe Ideas by Tommy Nelson {Book Review}

All Things Bright and Beautiful: Make Believe Ideas by Thomas Nelson is a sweet book. It drew my children and me in right away with its adorable imagery, cheerful colors, and glittery texture dawning not just the cover but all throughout the inner pages. It has a padded cover and even features a  handle so little ones can easy carry it along with them wherever they may happen to go.

The book isn’t a story but instead, follows the lyrics of the well-known classic hymn “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” If it’s ones favorite hymn they’ll be sure to love this take on it, I know I do. Perhaps it may be new to the reader/listener like for a few of my children. I feel the book is a great way to learn the lyrics.

There are ten pages in the book. Each verse is covered on a two-page spread. The colorful, glittery textured illustrations cover the entirety of the pages. There are animals, seasons, insects, forests, mountains, fruits, flowers, and sweet little children throughout.  The book will remind little ones of all of God’s creations and to be thankful for all the bright and beautiful things around us. It has been a book my one-year-old has brought over for me to read again and again.

No matter if sung or read, this book is sure to be treasured and cherished with words that will stick with one for a lifetime. It’s a perfect addition to any home or church classroom.
