Princess Prayers (The Princess Parables) {Board Book Review}

* As a Z BLOG SQUAD member, I received a copy of this book for free as a member of Zondervan’s Z BLOG SQUAD *

Princess Prayers a book in The Princess Parables series is a great way for little girls to start memorizing scripture and learning prayers.  Girly-Girls will certainly be drawn to the book with it’s glittery soft board book type cover, illustrated princes’ scenes and text bordered with floral and jeweled imagery throughout. This book is an ideal fit for little girls ages 4-8 years old.

-A Prayer Example in the Book-

Good morning, Lord, it’s time to rise.

The sun is shining bright.

I’ve got my day ahead of me,

so help me do what’s right.

Help me to be kind and good

and do my very best

to show my love for you today

so others will be blessed.

This is 15 prayers total. Each prayer focus on different things such as thanking God for the day, appreciation of creation, being afraid, saying sorry, and so on. The prayers are written in rhyming text so they are easy to read and remember. At the end of each prayer, there’s a simplified version of a scripture verse of which the prayer was inspired. I like the fact that scripture is included.

The illustrations in the book are images I recognize from other Princess Parable stories. Fans of the series are sure to favor this book. All little Girls are daughters of King Jesus and I adore this sweet book and the others in series in this line. I recommend it and have enjoyed sharing it with the lovely princesses in my life.
