Be Bold a Coloring Devotional by Ellen Elliott!
Be Bold is a brand new coloring devotional book by Ellen Elliott. The engaging cover challenges one to be bold with its stand out illustration. We all want to be bold but sometimes we need a bit of a boost. This book just screams “Open me and take a look inside” making it a thoughtful gift for yourself or for that special someone in your life.
I feel that this devotional is best suited for teenage girls with it being full of content most applicable to that age range. Topics covered include self-image, joy, peace, hope, the importance of prayer, waiting on God, and much more. All the lessons taught I feel any age could glean from but the content is specifically written it seems for the younger crowd. There are 31 devotions total and many blank pages at the end of the book to use for notes, thoughts, or whatever else one wishes.
The art to color within stands out and ties into the corresponding devotional for each day exceptionally well. The scripture pictures to color are depicted in stylized fonts surrounded with images of flowers , hearts, shapes, and other fun doodle type illustrations. The pages are thick and many different art mediums such as crayons, gel pens, markers, and colored pencils work well on the pages. I had very minimal bleeding through to the other page of ink when using markers.
I feel the 9.99 price tag is a good price for the devotional content and illustrations to color within. I definitely recommend and feel it hits the mark for the audience intended!
