My Thoughts…

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from this film. From the description alone it sounded a little cheesy and somewhat similar to a few other movies I’d seen before. But after finishing I was delighted I saw it.  The storyline was done well and the message of God’s love and the importance of being selfless, not selfish is well pronounced without being forced.

I felt the characters were relatable and the circumstances at hand very real. I didn’t feel like “Oh, that would never happen,”…other than the part about the girl wishing her parents never had faith in God. That wouldn’t happen in real life but that was obviously the twist to get the point across to the girl and the viewers of how things would change.

This would be a great movie for families with tweens, preteens, teenagers and even college students. I feel this would be a great pick for youth group movie night too! The world screams it’s all about you but it’s not. It’s about God and putting others before ourselves. Not just during the season but every single day of our lives when walking with the Lord.
