This laser lab kit comes with a laser and a few tools to do a number of included experiments, and to do your own experiments after!
Foremost, the kit comes with a laser. It requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). It has a slider that allows for 3 laser modes. Pointer, star, and line. There are also two mirrors, a diffraction window, and a microscope slide. To all the experiments on the booklet, you’ll also need a flashlight, a toilet, and steam (boil a pot, microwave a mug of water, etc.)
The experiments are easy to do and provide explanations or examples of why the laser acts the way it does.
The kids enjoyed watching the laser light and were wowed when things they didn’t expect happened, such as the glowing red toilet bowl. They wanted to use the laser themselves, but we didn’t let them use it just yet. They had fun trying to arrange the mirrors to hit various things.
Once opened, the packaging doesn’t provide any way to store the items.
It’s a nice kit, and everything it comes with is reusable. It would make a good addition to your science supplies.
