The Berenstain Bears’ Caring And Sharing Treasury {Book Review}

The Berenstain Bears’ Caring and Sharing Treasury by Jan Berenstain
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Berenstain Bears’ Caring And Sharing Treasury is a five-book collection. The hard-cover book is a nice size. The fact five books are compiled into one is a huge space saver. I appreciate the space saving because we live in a small house. Plus having all five books together prevents the need to bring multiple thin and likely paperback books along on a trip in the car, plane, or wherever else when away from home.

The stories you’ll find in this collection are:

Jobs Around Town
Get Involved
Love Their Neighbors
The Biggest Brag
Gossip Gang

Each of the stories provides and applicable message that a child as young as four can understand. Moral behavior such as being careful with out words, helping others, acting in love, and so forth can be taken away from stories shared. These stories with gentle conversation from a parent, grandparent, or talk after can help children grow in their faith and character.

There are no page numbers or an index in this collection. To find a single story quickly isn’t an option. It would have been nice if there was a page number or a ribbon bookmark included for quick navigational purposes. This doesn’t take away from the context of the stories at all it would have just been a nice feature to have.

I recommend this book. It features the same Bear family characters that I learned to love as a child. I am pleased I can share this book with my three children ages 8, 5, and 6 months old.
