Ready, Set, Find Christmas {Christmas Book Review}

Get ready to follow Mary and Joseph on their way to Bethlehem. They are in a hurry! Mary is expecting the baby Jesus and they need your help to find many things along the way. This holiday board book is perfect for young children who will love finding the 48 objects hidden on the pages while reading the classic story of Christmas, accurately retold and with scripture references. On your mark, Ready-Set-Find!

Ready, Set, Find Christmas is an adorable book for children. Though intended for the younger crowd, my 8 and 5-year-old reached for this book to see who could find all the hidden objects the fastest.  My five-month-old daughter is just getting into books and she appeared to really like listening to me read and turn the brightly colored pages.

The book is hardcover and it features circular tabs that one can quickly reach to go to right away. The tab feature/design element certainly caught the eye of my kids. I particularly like the tabs because if they stop searching on a page in the book for the time being, they will remember where they left off and turn to the next tab when they pick the book up again.

Each of the pages features different parts of the Christmas story. There’s a scripture reference followed by a re-telling. Beneath the retelling and scripture are is the “Can You Find” section. In this section, there are things like ladders, mouse, candle, camel, and so forth to find on the right-hand page.

This book is a wonderful way to be reminded of Christ birth in a fun and interactive way. It certainly can stand as a resource to talk about that night so long ago and what things that surrounded Jesus and his family.

This book is perfect for at home, on the go, during church ( like a Christmas Eve service and a child has to sit in the main service), or at a family members house to enjoy during the Holidays.  I certainly recommend it!
