God’s Little Lambs Bible Stories {Review}

God’s Little Lambs Bible Stories is a suitable choice for boys and girls ages 2 through 7 years old. The cover image of this title is a welcome introduction leaving one with cheerful thoughts and feelings. This Bible story book is 6×8 in size making it just right for little hands. The storybook features a soft padded cover. Within, there are 35 stories taken from and inspired by those found in both in the old and new testament of the Bible.

Each of the stories is roughly 3-4 pages in length. The writing is short, sweet, and  very easy to understand by young children. The devotions have a title followed by a scripture verse reference. Sometimes there is more than one scripture verse listed. One will have to look up the verses in the Bible to read what was referenced  since it’s not  printed in the book word by word. At the end of each story, there’s a little lamb label with a point to remember. For example,  at the end of the story of David and Goliath, it reads “Sometimes we may feel small, but God is strong mighty and powerful”.

This book would be a nice pick for a bedtime reading , an afternoon story time, or to begin the day. My son age 5 1/2 can read most of the words in this book all by himself. We are currently using it as a morning devotional before school. It would be a good choice for at home or in a Sunday School setting, in my opinion.  My only con is that I wish it had a ribbon bookmark attached to keep our place.
