Something to know about me is that I’m a bit of a germ-a-phobe. I know it’s impossible to avoid public restrooms so anything I can do to prevent coming into contact with germs in spaces such as these I’m more than happy to embrace. Alone it’s pretty easy but with a baby, toddler, or preschooler in tow things can get tricky because they tend to touch or have skin contact with many more surfaces.
The Changing Table Cover by Dandy Lily Lane is a product I most certainly would have been happy to have with my first baby. I’m on baby number three now and this product is certainly going to be used quite a bit! I’ve lost count of the time I’ve entered a public restroom only to find a dirty changing table, a not even stocked with paper covers table, and sometime not even a table at all to change my baby on! Well, this product is a dream come true. It’s extra large in size to cover an area preventing little ones from reaching out and touching dirty surfaces and it applies ample coverage for changing a baby or child of any size. If aiming to figure out the sizing, know it’s roughly about the same width and length of a pack and play mattress.
The back side of the cover is 100% polyester and waterproof which can easily be cleaned by wiping it off. One should clean it off after every use. The top part is 100% cotton providing for comfort against ones skin while being changed. There’s a bit a of weight the cover which ensures it won’t be shifting around if you have a squirmy baby. It folds up to around 12 inches wide and long. It will fit in a medium to large diaper bag without issue but if you carry something smaller this won’t work.
Overall I would recommend this changing table cover! It’s durable and not cheap feeling. It’s easy to keep clean and doesn’t take up much space to bring along. It’s also multi-purposeful because you can spread it out say on a hotel bed, counter top, or wherever else. It will keep you happy knowing harmful germs are less likely to spread to your baby and that you are also helping to keep whatever surface you are changing baby on clean beneath.
