Adventure Bible for Little Ones {Review}

The Adventure Bible for Toddlers is a compact version of popular stories found in both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. This simplified version comes in hardcover format and the sizing and durability is perfect for the aged children it’s recommended for. The stories are fully illustrated with beautifully delightful imagery spanning over every single page!

The stories include: Creation, Noah’s Ark, Moses, David vs. Goliath, Daniel in the Lions Den, Jonah, and several about Jesus. There are ten stories total and each list where it can be in scripture after the title. The wording is simple enough for children to understand and the themes great conversation starters to grow little ones in their faith!

The stories are short and I feel a child with a longer attention span possibly would lose interest after it was read a few times. Some of the wording used in this book give it a whimsical feel like for example using the phrase “God whirled the sun and moon into space.” I feel they should have just used the phrase God spoke and it was. Biblical accuracy even in simplified format should try to stick as close to the Bible as possible.

I do feel despite a few cons that this is an acceptable offering to introduce younger children to well known Bible verses. I also think it a reasonable choice for early readers as well. My two oldest can’t wait for their little sister to arrive so they can read this to her in the future!
