In enjoying creating art of all kinds, it’s nice to have a tool to go to when the urge strikes. If wanting to draw, a quality sketchbook that’s easy enough to bring along with me anywhere is my preferred choice. Sure, I could bring along a regular notebook but often that’s not the best choice if considering the paper type and the protection given in keeping each piece created in mint condition.
The Leda Art Supply Odyssey Sketchbook is impressive. It features a soft cover, a elastic band to keep the cover closed and inner pages protected, a ribbon bookmark to keep a specific position for quick reference, and a accordion pocket on the inner back cover to store pencils or other art tools in. The sizing at 7 x10 makes this a wonderful choice for travel. It fits easily into most medium size bags, totes, and luggage. The weight is very light.
The sketchbook paper is thick (120 g/m² — 80 pound paper). It’s heaver weight can withstand a number of mediums such as ink, pen, pastels, charcoal, water-color, and so forth. There’s a no risk guarantee that the pages will not easily tear or have ink bleed through or your money back.
This sketchbook will last for a good amount of time. It has 160 pages within that are light beige colored. The versatility is only limited to the artist. I am very much impressed with the quality and how smoothly the strokes of my pencil, pens, and paintbrushes are on the pages. I feel this sketchbook would make for a great nature journal, scripture keeper, and the list goes on. It’s really only limited to ones personal creativity! I would highly recommend this sketchbook to every artist. It would be a wonderful gift as well.
