Almost every weekend during the Summer season my family is out away from home checking out new things and enjoying the warm and sunny weather. In keeping within our budget we try to minimize eating out on our adventures. Packing lunches is a must but even that can get pricey if using disposable plastic bags and the like. For this reason, I turn to re-usable containers such as my set of Sunsella Bento Style Plastic Lunch Boxes!
The Sunsella Bento Style Plastic Lunch Boxes minimize waste, save me money, keep things organized, reduce clutter in my home, and are great for the environment. The boxes nest inside of each other when empty and stack together when the lids are on. This set is brightly colored in an offering of red, orange, green, and blue! My son and daughter are quite the fans of the cheerfulness this set brings and have already claimed certain colored lids for all their future packed snacks and lunches.
The material these are made of are completely BPA-free, phalate free, lead free and recyclable! These are microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe. Each box has three compartments. I have the found the sections to be great for holding a normal sized sandwich and a few snacks like fresh fruit, vegetables, chips, or crackers. The containers are not leak proof so I would strongly caution one not to put soup or something saucy within. If you really have to, you can place plastic wrap over the container and place the lid tightly on top.
My kids can easily open and close these boxes all of their own thanks to the generous size tab on the corner of each lid. We’ve found two of these boxes to fit perfect in general sized lunch on the go bags with enough room for an ice-pack.
I like these boxes for our weekend excursions but will also be using them for ready made lunches during other busy times of the year such as the return of school season!
