Summer is right around the corner and for us that means traveling on the road to fun destinations or sticking close to home and spending the day at a park. I like to provide fun down-time activities for my children to do. Sometimes this includes reading or listening to a book, completing and small puzzles, and so forth. I think it’s important to provide things for your children to go to when they just need a break from all the commotion or to give mom and dad a break when in the car for hours.
This Summer, I have our on the go bag packed with the The Princess Grace Sticker & Activity Book roots from The Princess Parables series for my daughter. There are sixteen pages within this book and a variety of activities to do. Children that like stickers will be pleased with the 50 reusable stickers included to use with the book or outside of it! The princess theme and the skill level of the activities makes this an ideal pick for girls age four to eight years old. My daughter is seven years old and has enjoyed completing the activities (especially the word searches).
There are colorful illustrations and a short story throughout in which the activities tie into. A few of the activities within this book are word search, color the picture, finish the picture with stickers, decode a message, complete the picture with drawing, count items, picture item search, mazes, and more! The pages are a on the somewhat glossy side, so I’m recommending the coloring and other activities be completed with markers.
