Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Impromptu Park Trip

Something I love about living in the Pacific North West is the weather. It’s usually never too hot and we certainly don’t mind the overcast days. If there’s a breeze it’s even better. A little bit of rain doesn’t scare us! That’s what jackets are for!  Any day is a good day for going to the park. Our trip to the pictured park over the weekend was impromptu. We had planned on visiting a science museum but it was incredibly busy. The next best thing was enjoying some family time at a new to us park.

Smiles from the seesaw! The kids don’t usually visit parks with see-saws so it was a real treat. The pictures of the kids smiles are worth a thousand words.

How exciting to have come across a merry-go-round! I haven’t seen one of these since my own youth!
I even jumped on for a ride.

Memories were made. It’s not the vast or elaborate but the simple things with those you love that are soon not forgotten. I think joy and contentment gets lost in the details of how people things should be. Instead take each day  and be grateful for everything in it even when things don’t go as planned. God is in everything and that’s enough to be grateful for because He is enough for us.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:3
