The Francois et Mimi Vintage Double Wall French Press embodies all things vintage. It’s quite elegant in design and offers a bit sophistication when being used or set out on display. But looks aside, this French Press is fully functional and preforms well whether for making coarsely ground coffee, loose-leaf tea, or any other warm beverage of choice.
The parts are all stainless-steel. A quick wipe down keeps this press looking as a good as new as it keeps an attractive shininess. It can be washed in the dishwasher, if needed. I for one prefer washing it by hand as this method is less likely to cake on spots or other blemishes quite as quickly.
Other than the pretty design, what really drew me is the double wall feature. It does keep the inner contents hot longer! This is great for that second cup of tea or for when you just not ready to pour drinks right away. I found even an hour later my tea was still warm enough to be enjoyed without having to re-warm it in the microwave.
The press holds 34 ounces which is roughly 4 cups of liquid. I believe this pot is good for 2-3 people. If you are having 4 ounce cups of tea or coffee you’ll be able to serve 6-8 people but if you prefer the American size of 8 ounce cups you’ll be able to serve 4 people with one full pot.
I love playing hostess and using this French press. It’s mess free with the dribble-proof spout, there are clear instructions given on the box, and I quite frankly can’t think of any cons. I certainly recommend it, especially if you have a love for vintage designed things.
