The reason why I don’t mind splurging on my bedding is because I value my sleep and know how importance it is to sleep well. But I’ll admit it can be confusing knowing what bedroom linens to buy. Questions I’ve pondered included, What’s thread count? What’s the difference in linen material? No one, taught me so I’m pretty thankful for Google and a few personal experiences to base my judgments on.
The 700 Thread Count Luxury Soft Cotton Sheets by Francois et Mimi, I’ve been using for about a month now. I must say, I’m very happy with these sheets. The material is soft and smooth, but not overly. I don’t end up sliding all over the place on the bed at night. I’ve had shiny satin type sheets before and they most certainly weren’t my favorite. Sure, we stayed cooler at night but our pillows never stayed in place and we were left with achy necks and uncomfortable backs in the morning.
This set of sheets is made out of organic Egyptian cotton in India. Since it’s organic there are lots of wrinkles which typically wouldn’t be there if you bought otherwise. Non-organic sheet sets are usually treated with chemicals that keep them wrinkle free, but I’ll pass. It’s not worth breathing that in or letting it absorb into my body. If the wrinkles really bug me, I know I can low iron this set without issue.
In this set, there are two king size pillow cases, a top sheet, and a fitted sheet. The bottom sheet features a deep pocket fit up to 16″ that gives you a good amount to work with while making the bed. Being small in size, I really appreciate not having to tug, pull, and lift only to strain my back every time I make the bed thanks to the deep pocket fit feature. I’ve washed these sheets once a week for a month per recommend instructions. There’s been no color bleeding, no fading, no shrinkage, and no apparent wear. The material isn’t paper thin but it’s not overly thick either. It’s the right thickness to be used year round, in my opinion.
These sheets are comfortable, quite breathable, easy to care for, and to date the best sheets I’ve owned. I love the Burgundy color and am quite impressed these are offered in well over 20 colors and in a variety of sizes. I would certainly recommend these.
