Only God Can Make a Kitten {Book Review}

Only God Can Make A Kitten is a sweet little story based off of Genesis 1:31. This Bible verse reads “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good”. The tale follows a mother and her two curious children as they discover all sorts of wonderful things in nature that point to God as the creator of everything.

The illustrations are warm and color choices used in each picture soft. Each page delights with something new. A few of the places and things explored by this family is a birds nest in a tree, the rainfall, a field of flowers, waves of the sea, plums in a tree, and so on. The journey in following this family does delightfully well leaving one with a cheerful feeling.

The words in are written in rhyme making this book one of my favorites to read aloud. My six year old daughter has told me she likes how the book is written as well. She said it wasn’t difficult at all for her to read on her own.

I thought this book was going to be solely about a kitten but was actually quite glad it was not. It’s a sweet reminder to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. It’s also an encouragement in knowing that our God creates so many wonderful things including even us!
