Fright Catalog – Boys Batman Costume {review}

My 3 1/2 year old son is all about Super Heroes right now! Ever since he and his sister were turned on to Tiny Titans, the LEGO Superhero movies and Wii games it’s been non-stop action and adventure. He loves role-playing that he’s a defender of all things just and right. Bad guys beware! No Super Hero should be without his suit right? Well, in this household dress-up time is almost daily! Don’t be surprised if you drop by for a visit and see little heroes running about! We believe costumes just shouldn’t be worn during the Halloween season. Costumes allow my children to really have some fun with their imaginations and look pretty cool at that. Plus costumes such as these, are great for themed parties and other local events that may be going on.

The Batman Costumes that are available are many which is suitable considering the suit has changed quite a bit and available in styles suitable for boys, girls, men, or women. I am sure any of those costumes would be a great hit if you were throwing or attending Batman’s big birthday bash which celebrates Tim Burtons Batman flick which came out in 1989. I believe that version was the first I’d seen of Batman followed by the more well known recent versions.P1150326-001

After checking out suits, I was able to present to my son the Blue and Gray Toddler Batman Costume. The size I ordered the costume in was 2t-4t since my son usually wears 3t and it was almost too small for him! I would recommend if ordering take that information into consideration and order a size up if able. This costume includes a headpiece, jumpsuit, and cape. We had a little trouble with headpiece but that’s pretty common with head pieces on toddler costumes. I am probably going to alter it to fit him without it slipping off! The jumpsuit was easily worn over his regular clothes and the cape is attachable as well as detachable at the Velcro area near the shoulders of the costume. There’s room to dress a little warmer underneath if you were planning on taking your caped crusader out for trick-or-treating in the evening without having to be overly bundled up with a coat.

Overall the costume was a hit with my son. He’s been wearing it nearly all day! He said it was comfortable and that’s pretty much what matters. It cleans easily in the wash and is also available in a smaller size. The costume seems to be holding up pretty well and I’m sure will last until my son grows out of it! It might be fun to dress the whole family up in a Batman theme with the number of costumes available!
