We’ve been having some wonderful warm and sunny weather the last couple of weeks here in Oregon. Since living in the North West I know that sometimes it can be weeks maybe even months before we have a warm and moderately dry day to spend outdoors. Don’t get me wrong, we also love our rain but after all those April showers, it’s certainly nice to soak up some sun. So what have the kids been doing on these bright sunshiny days? Other than playing in the dirt, blowing bubbles, and kicking a ball around the yard they’ve been using their imaginations to play pretend! They’ve been role-playing all sorts of fun characters from medieval knights and ladies to super heroes and astronauts. It’s always fun to see what my kids can come up with.
Well my daughter and son , got to take their pretend play to whole new level thanks to PretendWear Color and Wash™ sending along some of their re-designable wearable play outfits! Arts and crafts this mommy loves to encourage her kids to use so when I heard these outfits could be redesigned over and over again for hours upon hours of fun I was ecstatic! There are action suits for boys, super capes, skirts, aprons, princess, and fairy dresses! I personally was taken with all the outfits that are designed to fit kids ages three to eight years old.
These outfits are made from a dupont soft structure material that won’t fray. This allows for cut away hems for size customization and further styles and looks of the outfit at hand. The lines on all l PretendWear™ apparel is printed with permanent coloring book lines so there’s no worries of that part going away with wash after wash. Each of the outfits were easy to wash in my sink! You can also wash them in your washing machine too.
So much creativity can be had from these outfits from using washable paint from daubers , glitter paint, stencils, and washable glue. The combinations are truly endless! If you are looking for a bit of inspiration, I would encourage you to check out the helpful videos and photo suggestions on the companies Pintrest baord and Youtube channel.
My 3 1/2 year old son adored his superhero cape so very much! He sat with from start to finish happily using the included paint daubers to color his cape how he so wanted. I like how easy clean up was and despite painting outdoors knowing I could have done it inside with very minimal clean up was a real plus! The outfits both dried quickly and the kids were playing pretend shortly after. I would highly recommend looking into these fun customizable fully designable pretend play outfits for any child that loves painting and coloring!
