Our Thoughts…

Sofia the First: The Floating Palace is the first full length feature that we’ve seen Sofia in! We don’t have cable so we hadn’t got to watch this Disney Junior show yet! Boy were we missing out! My five year old daughter totally adored seeing this recent release all about Sofia and her mermaid friend Oona! Also we were delightfully surprised to see Princess Ariel making an appearance! If you know a little girl that is into anything princess and has a love for mermaids, chances are she’ll really enjoy this DVD!

The Floating Palace story is certainly exciting and magical! There is a lot of adventure and a few welcome cute songs shared! There was really no surprise ending and nothing too scary for children. The things to take away from the story is the importance of family, friendship, generosity, and kindness toward others. The subtitles and captioning on the DVD support English, French, & Spanish. Total DVD runtime is 118 minutes which is also including the 3 additional episodes (Tri-Kingdom Picnic, Finding Clover, and Making Way for Miss Nettles). An added suprises that comes with each DVD is two exclusive friendship bracelets ( one is pink and the other is purple)! The bracelets are cute and were well loved by my daughter!
