Talk Links™ Recordable Sequencing Tiles by Learning Resources {Review & Giveaway}

Talk Links™ Recordable Sequencing Tiles by Learning Resources are a handy all-in-one must have set for any classroom. Ways to use these can be to teach sentence building, mathematics, phonics , blending sounds to make words, and more. Auditory, visual, and hands-on learners of all ages will highly benefit from this fantastic teaching tool.

In this set, there are six total multi-sensory tiles. Each tile has a front and back side write-able wipe able surface. There is no dry erase marker or other writing tool provided but you’ll want one to use. I highly recommend the dry erase markers by Quartet as the caps features an eraser and thus far have left no unwanted residue behind.

The tiles also have a on and off switch and one side features a record button and the other a play button. The tiles each can hold up to 6 seconds of audio. When the tiles are connected, each tile will play back in the sequence they are linked up from. No worries about having to run out and get batteries so you can start using the set. The set comes with the button cell batteries needed to work plus a couple of spares.

The ways I’ve been using the tiles in my Homeschool classroom have been to work on the skills my oldest needs to master while she’s in the grade of Kindergarten. We’ve recorded the days of the week and written them out for her to see. She’ll listen and repeat the days as they are being played back on the tiles and then I’ll take the tiles apart, mix them up, and have her try to put them back in the correct order.

The tiles have also been great to reinforce what she’s learning in her reading and phonics lessons. I’ll take a word family such as “-at” and then have that sound recorded and the sounds of a few letters such C, B, R, S, and so forth. She’ll then put a consonant tile to the “-at” sound tile and make words and play them back. It’s been great practice for her in building words and making sentences. She really likes being able to record her voice and hear it played back. She’s learning and it’s fun for her too!

A tool like this just might be what a lot a of children may need just to have a fresh approach on what they may be learning and possibly struggling with. I’ve seen results using these just over a couple of weeks in the reading and phonic skills of my five year old daughter. So I’m highly recommending this product!
