Ginger Pu’erh Tea {Review}

I found the Ginger Pu’erh Tea to be quite subtle in taste. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I’ve had other Ginger teas in the past that were way too spicy and not that enjoyable to drink. The subtle taste allows for the flavor to be there without an over powering spiciness. It’s mellow enough that my kids thought it tasted pretty good and my daughter doesn’t usually like a lot of things. The smell is also quite subtle but I think if you were to seep the tea bag for a little longer than the suggested 3-5 minutes it would be much stronger.

Benefits of drinking this tea include being used for treatment of cough, cold, congestion, and as a stomach settles. It also can be used in prevention of motion sickness! I’m all for natural ways to relieve motion sickness (something I’ve had since a child). It’s a black tea so note there is caffeine present but nowhere as near as much as a cup of coffee.

Each box of tea comes with sixteen individually wrapped bags of tea which is good for space savings and ideal to take along with you wherever you may go. It also gives you tea that will stay fresher longer. I like that the box has a perforated edge so you can easily keep the bags inside the box too if you prefer.

This tea company is totally thinking of the environment as the tea is GMO-free, certified USDA organic, and the tea bags are biodegradable.The box is printed with soy based ink. And if you’d like to know a little bit of the story behind the tea, you can read up on the box itself. An added bonus is that there’s a recipe printed on the inside of the box on how to make Spicy Ginger Pu’erh Iced Tea by using the tea bags as well as other ingredients! The recipe has made me totally consider having iced tea more often.

If interested in purchasing, the Ginger Pu’erh Tea can be purchased on individually or through the subscribe and save program for about $5.00-$6.00 a box.

Disclosure: I received the Ginger Pu’erh Tea Bags through Amazon Vine program  but no compensation has been received. All thoughts about the product are my own.
